Merab was in India doing pr for the ufc, at an interview he said him bs Sean O’Malley will take place at ufc 306. I have also heard ilia vs holloway is ITW to headline that event. Ufc must be trying to set up a Sean vs ilia megafight

As much as I think Sandhagen's fights are boring, I think he deserves the winner of Merab/O'Malley. Aside from Sandhagen you are right - I assume Figueiredo probably needs to beat Cejudo/Chito before getting into the title picture, and there is really no one else.

Sandhagen won’t get a title shot sadly. He is going to fight umar next (working on a date — ufc was going to put it on 303 but wants a 5 round main event) and will probably lose. Even if he wins, I don’t think ufc is too happy with how his last two fights have went, so they will probably try to keep him sidelined like they are with belal

I could definitely see OMalley beating Merab and then just moving up. I dont think the UFC has any interest in having him eventually fight Umar.
Whether OMalley vacates or they set up an interim title, I feel like Figgy vs. Umar will eventually happen. UFC loves trying to give the guys they're pumping the scalp of a former champion to further build their resume.

Going back on topuria vs Holloway 306 rumors
‘MagicM said topuria confirmed on Spanish tv his next fight is Holloway and both have accepted. We will see if it gets added to the sphere but I feel pretty confident that’s gonna be on the card. Regardless of what happens, Holloway vs ilia will be happening this year

I have also heard grasso vs val 3 will not be taking place on 306. Allegedly Val keeps declining to fight grasso. Grasso said she will be fighting Manon if they can’t work out a fight for this date
And again, merab confirmed him vs Sean is happening on 306 via ufcindia yesterday

I don’t think that was hometown bias, the judges just massively botched the scoring of that fight in every aspect. But that’s also not from grasso, a journalist I know on Twitter told me that Val doesn’t want the fight to happen on 306, but grasso wants to fight on the card. Thusly, she will be fighting Manon if her and Val can’t work something out

Only thing Aldo deserved was a proper send off, which he just got. Hopefully his UFC career is over and he can go make some good money boxing. He has 0 shot at ever winning another title and has nothing left to prove to anybody.
