Wiki

Sage Northcutt Wiki

Sage Northcutt was born into a martial arts family with his father being a black belt in Karate and his older sister Colbey being an amateur kickboxing champion. Sage would begin training at just 4 years old and would begin competing at 5 years old. He would go on to win 77 World Championships in Karate and also would go 15-0 as a kick-boxer. He was the youngest person to ever grace the cover of Sports Karate Magazine when he was only 9 years old. He was also inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame in 2012. He currently has a Third degree black belt in Taekwondo, third degree black belt in Kajukenbo, and a three-stripe purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu.

He would lose his first amateur fight by TKO for Legacy FC but would follow that with 5 straight wins including two first round finishes over the lightweight and welterweight champions in Legacy. He would turn pro and win another 5 straight before being noticed on Dana White's "Looking for a Fight" at Legacy FC 44. He would rattle off two quick wins in a 2 month span for the UFC. However he would face his first loss as a professional when he was submitted in the second round by Bryan Barberena.
